Steve Lafler Catalog – Graphic Novels & T’s

Give something amazing this Holiday Season!

Here’s my selection of singular graphic novels and T-Shirts that will delight your friends and family for years to come.

There is even a NEW BENB SHIRT in this catalog post!

This year I published my complete Bughouse comics under the title Menage a Bughouse with CO2. This large format graphic novel has over 400 pages of spectacular narrative. $24.99.

“I’m going to recommend a graphic novel that is great because it is good, solid and delivers in spades what I most enjoy in a comic book; a comfortable mastery of the form, fun, surprises, a story I can get into and a light touch.” – Jim Woodring

Next up is the Bughouse Tour T-Shirt, featuring a Boppin’ Jimmy Watts in full color on a  ringer. A steal at $18.49

My 2010 graphic novel El Vocho: Love at the Twilight of Oil, features a flying VW Bug! $12.00

There there is the El Vocho T-Shirt, a slick look at $22.99.

Don’t forget 40 Hour Man by writer Stephen Beaupre (and drawn by me). One of the funniest graphic novels ever!

“Lafler wields a most appealing, cartoony style, half The Simpsons, half Peter Bagge’s Bradleys, and Beaupre is the lower-middle-class working-stiff spokesman par excellence. An awful lotta guys will identify.”
Ray Olson, Booklist

Be sure to visit my T-Shirt Shop at Cafe Press, for additional T Shirt styles including FrankenJerry and Rockabilly Wolfman! Not to mention the El Vocho women’s scoop neck T. Oh, and don’t rule out the BENB in a ’63 Chevy being stalked by a Giant Wolfman organic T-SHIRT!

Children’s Illustration for Sarah’s Science

I’ve been doing art for Sarah’s Science since 1999. It’s great fun to work with Sarah Shaffer, who runs summer science camps and after school science programs for kids. She is a brilliant and innovative educator, and a dream to work with.

Here’s a sampling of stuff I’ve drawn for Sarah. Click on images to see enlarged. Drop me an email anytime.

Steve Lafler Illustrated Video

I produced a music video for my band Radio Insecto. The Video is chock full of illustration by myself and you can see it here.

Jack Black is the name of the song. I wrote it as an homage to the actor, and to let him know to keep his quality up!

Mandolin, bass and recording on the song “Jack Black” is by my collaborator Bill Stair. Click on image to see it larger.

Recent Work: Bughouse Tour Poster

Promotional Art for my Bughouse Book tour.

I created this iconic image of my cartoon character Jimmy Watts as the key promotional image for my Summer 2012 Bughouse Book tour. I’m touring the U.S. in support of Menage a Bughouse, a 408-page graphic novel collection.

I looked to the mid-century album art of the great Jim Flora for inspiration in creating this image.
